Comunidades de peces asociadas a diferentes bancos de macrófitas acuáticas en lagos de várzea del bajo río solimões

Resumen

El objetivo de este trabajo fue determinar la abundancia, riqueza y diversidad de peces asociados a los diferentes tipos de macrófitas acuáticas existentes en lagos de várzea del río Solimões. Los muestreos fueron realizados en dos fases del ciclo hidrológico: inundación y sequía, en bancos de macrófitas compuestos por capim flotante Paspalum repens y en banco mixtos (compuestos por asociaciones de especies vegetales de libre flotación). Fueron colectados 2.051 individuos pertenecientes a 115 especies de peces, en los períodos y tipos de bancos muestreados. Characiformes fue el grupo dominante en ambos períodos y los diferentes tipos de bancos. La riqueza y la diversidad de especies fueron mayores en los bancos compuestos por el capim flotante P. repens que en los bancos mixtos. Los resultados de este estudio sugieren que la diversidad y la abundancia de peces asociados a las macrófitas acuáticas son influenciados por la mayor complejidad estructural del hábitat formado por P. repens.
