Integrating geek culture into health education: innovative narratives for young nurses
Integrando la cultura friki en la educación en salud: narrativas innovadoras para jóvenes en enfermería
Main Article Content
Abstract
This narrative explores the integration of geek culture into health education as an innovative strategy for health promotion among young people. The proposal is based on the premise that the use of elements of anime, video games, and other forms of geek culture can improve the understanding and acceptance of public health concepts. Through concrete examples, it is analyzed how these strategies can be adapted to the educational environment of nursing, favoring a more interactive and attractive learning for students. Preliminary evidence on the efficiency of these methodologies is presented, highlighting their potential to improve participation, engagement and information retention in the young population. It also addresses the challenges and limitations of their implementation, proposing solutions to overcome them and ensure the effectiveness of these narratives in the training of future health professionals.
